RHS Daphne Small Bird Nest Box

The beautiful Daphne 32mm small bird nesting box, part of the RHS Wildlife Collection, is a striking, high-quality nest box with an RHS-inspired dark green and natural oak color scheme. Handcrafted in the UK with care, by people with autism and learning disabilities, from sustainably sourced timber.

The rustic Daphne nesting box should be placed in a hidden garden location in early January to attract birds, the breeding season usually starts in March.  The 32mm hole is perfect for small birds and includes a metal hole protector to prevent predators from making the hole larger.

For optimal use, mount the nest box 2-4 meters high on a tree or wall in a shaded location out of direct sunlight. Clean the nest box annually between September and January when unoccupied by simply removing the back panel and washing with boiling water. This allows for thorough sanitization during the non-breeding season
