The Oval Nest Pocket is a low-cost way to provide a roosting place for small birds, such as robins, wrens, finches, and bearded tits. To support small birds in cold conditions, conceal the pocket in the foliage of a hedgerow or shrub to help them maintain body heat.
Made of various natural fibres such as reeds and grasses, the appearance of the Nest Pockets may vary due to seasonal availability, as shown. The built-in wire hanger allows the roost pocket to be attached to branches and can be arranged at different heights to support a variety of species.
The pocket may also be used by small mammals like wood mice, harvest mice, or even domestic small mammals like hamsters and mice.
