The Ladybird Tower is the first and original tower designed by Wildlife World - beware of replicas that don't have the hollow central core for the ladybirds to shelter in. This ladybird tower for ladybirds and other beneficial insects is sustainably made from natural air dried FSC-certified timber logs, meaning the appearance may vary.
Each tower is cleverly constructed with a hollow central chamber filled with straw to provide insulation and security for insects. Access to the central chamber is provided by paths drilled through the sides of the log and the central chamber is protected by the apex roof.
The ladybird tower comes with a ground pole which allows the ladybird tower to be sited into lawns, sheltered flower beds, wooded glades or even in planters.
To encourage occupation of the tower by ladybirds it is recommended to smear ladybird food on the entrance holes. The slow-seasoned naturally durable timbers require no chemical preservatives that might deter occupation of your ladybird tower.
Please note, requires some assembly. Unscrew the pole at the back of the tower, then insert the flat end into the hole on the base of the tower. Screw the pole tightly so that it is secure and then push into ground. Please refer to images for guidance.
